About the British Columbia Bus test

In British Columbia, this is Class 2, issued by ICBC. The questions below are labelled for British Columbia, using ICBC's own terminology and thresholds.

The bus class, Class 2 in most provinces and Class C (regular bus) or B (school-purposes bus) in Ontario, lets you drive full-size buses, such as transit and intercity coaches. The test centres on the responsibility of carrying people: managing passengers, loading and discharging safely, emergency exits and evacuation, and handling a long, tall, high-occupancy vehicle.

You will also see the federal Hours-of-Service rules and the railway-crossing procedures for passenger-carrying vehicles. If the bus has air brakes, which most full-size buses do, the air-brake endorsement is required as a separate result, and most provinces require a medical report for the bus class.
