About the Canadian motorcycle knowledge test
The motorcycle knowledge test (typically Class 6) is required before you can ride on Canadian roads. Most provinces test motorcycle-specific topics, protective gear standards, lane positioning in a single lane, scanning behind for blind spots, and braking technique on two wheels.
Motorcycle knowledge tests differ by province, and most provinces do not publish a question count or a pass mark for them. Some set more than one test (Ontario sets two for the M1, Saskatchewan three), and Nova Scotia's is 20 questions with 16 needed to pass. Some provinces (like Ontario) require the M1 test before practising on roads, then a road test for M2 and finally M.
