Exchange a foreign driver's licence in New Brunswick
Do you have to take a road test? It depends entirely on who issued your licence. Here is what New Brunswick publishes.
New Brunswick lists 23 jurisdictions, 18 of them European. England, Scotland and Wales are listed separately rather than as the United Kingdom. Nationals of those places exchange for a Class 5 or a motorcycle licence with no test, and New Brunswick states no minimum experience for that.

The things that catch people out
England, Scotland and Wales, but not Northern Ireland
New Brunswick lists England, Scotland and Wales (and the Isle of Man) separately rather than as the United Kingdom, so a licence issued in Northern Ireland is not covered.
Taiwan and Ukraine carry extra paperwork
Both are on the list but require extra documents, including an authenticated translation and, for Taiwan, a verification certificate.
